BALDWIN, NASSAU COUNTY – Police said a motor vehicle collision on Long Island Saturday night sent four people to the hospital, according to a report by Patch of Rockville Centre.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and Stanton Avenue in Baldwin. According to Nassau County Police, a 2005 Honda CRV collided with a 2016 Kia Forte at about 10 p.m. The impact of the crash caused the Honda to go off the roadway, where it then slammed into a commercial building located in the 16oo block of Grand Avenue.
Three occupants of the Honda were transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries – the driver, a 26-year-old man, and two passengers, a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.
A 26-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Kia was also hospitalized with minor injuries. There was damage to the exterior glass of the building and a Hempstead building inspector was dispatched to evaluate the situation.
