QUEENS, NY – Police said a multi-vehicle accident in Queens on Wednesday evening left a teenage girl dead.

A report by WPIX states that the crash occurred on North Conduit Avenue near the intersection with 160th Street in Springfield Gardens at about 6:40 p.m.

The NYPD said a 16-year-old boy was driving a BMW west on North Conduit Avenue at a high rate of speed when he attempted to change lanes and crashed into a UPS truck that was parked in the right travel lane.

The impact sent the truck onto the curb, where it hit a man trying to get into the vehicle from the passenger side.  The BMW spun across the roadway and collided with a tractor-trailer.

A 14-year-old Queens girl who was a passenger in the BMW was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the BMW was hospitalized in stable condition.  The person hit by the UPS truck was also in stable condition.  The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 49-year-old man, was not injured.
