HARLEM, MANHATTAN, NY – A woman who was hit by a vehicle on a sidewalk in Harlem last month has died from her injuries, according to WNBC.
This is an update to a previous story.
The victim, 38-year-old Jennifer Tolliver, passed away on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred March 28 in the area of West 145th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard just after 8 a.m. Police said Tolliver and her 6-year-old son were walking when they were struck by a Toyota Camry that jumped the curb and went onto the sidewalk.
The Camry also hit a flower shop and several parked cars. The boy was critically injured and was taken to Harlem Hospital. The driver of the Camry, age 68, was seriously injured.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident, and are trying to determine whether the driver suffered a medical episode prior to the crash. So far no charges have been filed.
Tolliver lived about two blocks away from the accident scene.
