HOLTSVILLE, LONG ISLAND, NY – A suspected hit-and-run driver is under arrest following a crash that killed two men on Long Island last week, according to Newsday.

30-year-old Johanna Iovino of Lake Ronkonkoma was arrested by Suffolk County Police and charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

The crash happened Wednesday evening at 5474 Express Drive South next to the Long Island Expressway in Holtsville shortly before 5:30 p.m. Police said 37-year-old Ryan Walker and a friend were working on a 1989 F-150 pickup truck that was parked outside Walker’s home. Both men were struck by a passing vehicle that kept going east on Express Drive South after the crash without stopping to help, according to investigators.

Walker was pronounced dead after being taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital. His friend, identified as 46-year-old Robert Kehlenbeck, was transported to the same hospital and died on
Saturday.

Iovino pleaded not guilty to the charges at her arraignment on Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
