Long Island Expressway Reopened After Truck Crash


NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY – According to Newsday, The Long Island Expressway has been reopened after a propane truck and tractor collided. The accident occurred near Exit 36 in North Hempstead. The expressway was closed due to the crash from around midnight on the 17th, and reopened completely around 10:30 this morning. Police stated that only one unidentified individual had minor injuries and that there was no hazmat situation due to the accident.
