Box Truck Hits, Kills Pedestrian in Brooklyn


BROOKLYN, NY – An 85-year-old man was struck by a box truck and killed on Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. The pedestrian was standing in the middle of 39th Street and 3rd Avenue when the truck hit him. The victim was transported to Lutheran Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the box truck, a 24-year-old, remained at the scene and has been cooperating with authorities.
