10-year-old Hit and Killed by Garbage Truck in Queens


QUEENS, NY – A ten-year-old boy and his mother were walking to school when they were hit by a garbage truck around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. The crash occurred around 57th Street and 97th Street.

Both the boy and his mother were rushed to the hospital following the accident. The boy eventually succumbed to his injuries, but the mother is still listed in critical condition. The incident is still being investigated, and the driver has been suspended pending the results of the investigation.
