One critically injured in tractor-trailer collision in Sloatsburg

(SLOATSBURG, January 2020) — A tractor-trailer left one man with critical injuries on Monday morning. 43-year-old David Bucci of Bel Air was resting in the sleeping berth of his parked tractor-trailer when a passing Toyota Avalon veered off of Interstate 87 and crashed into the trailer.
Bucci was not injured in the collision, but the driver, Louis M. Lupo of Windsor, was critically injured. The front of his vehicle was trapped underneath the tractor-trailer. Lupo was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
