Patrick G. Toner

Patrick G. Toner is a Senior Medical Malpractice Attorney at Finz & Finz, P.C. His extensive legal experience of nearly thirty years has involved complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases.

Prior to joining Finz & Finz, P.C., Mr. Toner worked for two decades at a number of highly-regarded medical malpractice defense firms. He managed a range of cases in medical specialties as diverse as internal medicine, family medicine, radiology, oncology, gynecology, surgery, plastic surgery, cardiology and interventional cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, nursing, orthopedics, neurosurgery and other medical fields. Mr. Toner defended physicians, hospitals, and nursing homes in various New York State venues.

In early 2020, Mr. Toner determined that it was time to use his expertise to help those injured as a result of medical malpractice. He joined a prominent plaintiff’s medical malpractice firm on Long Island. Almost immediately, Mr. Toner appreciated how profoundly his clients were affected by his representation. His work on behalf of victims of medical malpractice included meeting with clients, listening to their concerns, explaining the intricacies of the potential medical claims, drafting pleadings, preparing clients for deposition testimony, deposing defendant physicians, attending court conferences, arguing discovery and dispositive motions, identifying expert witnesses and meeting with them to discuss their findings, drafting expert disclosures and trial preparation. All along the way, Mr. Toner routinely provided his clients with updates on important developments in their cases. Through his zealous efforts, he was successful at securing numerous six and seven figure settlements of medical malpractice cases on behalf of his clients. Obtaining substantial monetary compensation for clients with profound injuries was especially satisfying.

Mr. Toner resides in West Bay Shore, NY with his partner of thirty years. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, cooking, travelling, spending time with family and friends, and gardening.
