Benjamin P. Jacobs
Ben Jacobs grew up in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. He received his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and graduated cum laude from Columbia University. Ben was the President of the Harvard American Civil Liberties Union and a student attorney at the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project.
Ben has broad litigation and appellate experience. He began his career at the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts as an attorney and legal fellow. In 2011, he began to work in “Big Law”, when he joined the New York office of the internationally recognized law firm of Hogan Lovells as a litigation associate. While at Hogan Lovells, Ben advised corporate clients in a variety of industries with a focus on addressing consumer finance issues for major banks, as well as franchise and regulatory issues for the automobile industry. He was responsible for a portfolio of litigation matters, including the development of case strategies, assessment of risk, discovery, extensive legal research, motion practice, appeals and oral arguments.
In 2018, Ben decided to change course and join the Finz & Finz, P.C., litigation team. Now, he is using his Columbia and Harvard education, and years of experience representing major corporate entities, to help individuals and families who are victims of negligence, medical malpractice and products liability. For the first time in his legal career, Ben has a feeling of fulfillment in bringing positive change to the lives of people in the community by representing individuals who require the depth of a sophisticated New York personal injury law firm to represent them in their time of need.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, Emma, and their twin children, Daniel and Athena. He also enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
