Sidia Scott

Sidia Scott, DNP, MHA, RN, NE-BC is a Legal Nurse Consultant at Finz & Finz, P.C., where she brings over 16 years of experience from some of New York’s most prestigious academic medical centers.

Ms. Scott began her career as an Emergency Room Nurse at a Level 1 Trauma Center, where she developed the quick-thinking and clinical precision necessary to manage high-stakes medical situations. Prior to joining the firm, she demonstrated progressive leadership in key roles. As a Director of Nursing for Critical Care and Medical-Surgical Services in NYC she provided executive oversight for over 350 staff members and led units through rigorous preparation for the JCAHO (The Joint Commission) and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) surveys.

Ms. Scott utilizes this specialized lens to bridge the gap between clinical practice and legal standards. Her extensive background in reviewing Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and managing quality initiatives allows her to identify systemic failures and deviations from the standard of care with unmatched depth. She provides invaluable insights into regulatory compliance and the mitigation of professional liability, ensuring that every case is built on a foundation of excellence and patient safety.

Ms. Scott earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Walden University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan University. She is a Board-Certified Nurse Executive (NE-BC) with active licensure in over 29 states, providing a broad national perspective on healthcare delivery.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Scott finds her greatest joy in spending quality time with her family. A true lover of the outdoors, she is often found recharging in nature, whether she is camping, hiking, running, or finding peace by the water. An avid traveler and reader, Ms. Scott believes in the importance of lifelong learning and the healing power of a life well-lived.
