$2,200,000 Settlement


The contact resulted in serious personal injuries.The plaintiff was air lifted to an upstate New York hospital where he received care and treatment for his injuries including surgery for a fractured left leg and pneumothorax . Upon being contacted by the plaintiff, Finz & Finz, P.C., conducted an investigation and engaged the top truck accident experts in the country. A lawsuit was immediately commenced in Montgomery Supreme Court. After the initial discovery proceedings had taken place, the defendant’s insurance carrier tendered its full insurance policy in the sum of $1,000,000. The plaintiff, a Pennsylvania resident, maintained underinsurance coverage. Prior to commencing an action against plaintiff’s underinsurance carrier in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for bad faith, a long and protracted negotiation commenced between Stuart Finz and the plaintiff’s underinsurance carrier. After several months of hard negotiations, a settlement was reached between the plaintiff and his insurance company in the sum of $1,200,000. The case settled for the total sum of $2,200,000.
