$160,000 Settlement

The 22-year-old man fell backwards as he was coming out of the shower. He sustained deep lacerations to his thigh and backside. Multiple complaints were made to the landlord prior to the accident about a broken tile soap dish attached to the wall of the shower, which caused the gash to our client. The attorneys for the landlord argued that they had no notice of a broken soap dish prior to the accident and claimed that the soap dish broke when the plaintiff fell in the shower, therefore, causing the accident and his resulting injuries. The attorneys at Finz & Finz, P.C., strongly opposed this stance and just prior to a trial in Manhattan Supreme Court, a settlement was achieved in the amount of $160,000 for our client. This result not only vindicated our client but also provided financial justice for him.
