Woman out walking her dogs in the Bronx struck by hit-and-run driver

KINGSBRIDGE, BRONX, NY – Police said a woman was hit by a vehicle while walking her dogs in the Bronx on Tuesday night, according to a report by The Daily News.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Grand Concourse and Moshulu Parkway in the Kingsbridge section of the borough at about 9:10 p.m.  Police said the woman was walking across the Grand Concourse with her two pit bulls when she was hit by the driver of an SUV going west on Moshulu Parkway.

The 55-year-old woman was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.  One of her dogs was killed in the accident, while the other was injured.

The NYPD said the driver of the vehicle involved left the scene after the crash. The vehicle was described as a 2018 blue Audi SUV with Florida license plates.

Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle was asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline.
