Van Driver Hits Brooklyn Bicyclist, Attempts to Flee Scene


BROOKLYN, NY – A van driver hit a bicyclist at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Avenue U in Brooklyn last Saturday, only to be stopped by passersby.

A woman on a bike was attempting to make a turn when she was struck by the van. The crash occurred around 5:15 PM.

After the accident, the van driver fled from his vehicle and attempted to escape the scene, but was chased down and stopped by bystanders. He is now facing criminal charges.

The woman is currently in critical condition.
