UPDATE: Pickup Truck Driver Ticketed for Driving Too Closely in Sullivan County Bus Crash


MAMAKATING, NY – Around 7:45 AM on Thursday morning, a pickup truck and a school bus crashed into one another on Route 17 in Sullivan County. Seven people, including five children, were injured in the accident.

After an investigation of the crash, the driver of the pickup truck was cited for following the bus too closely. He was issued a citation.

Route 17 was closed between Exits 112 and 113 for about two hours. The lanes opened up just before 10 AM this morning.
