Toddler Struck and Injured by SUV in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, NY – A two-year-old girl was struck by an SUV in Staten Island on Sunday.

Authorities responded to a call reporting that a pedestrian was hit at the 200 block of York Avenue. The accident occurred around 5:15 PM.

The young girl is expected to survive. She was treated at the Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton. The girl’s father described the incident as a “freak accident.”
