NYPD Officer Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident in the East Village

NEW YORK, NY – A NYPD police officer was injured in a hit-and-run accident in the East Village on Tuesday night. 45-year-old Franklin Liz was driving on Houston Street when he slammed into a cop car.

He fled after the accident but was soon arrested. One officer was transported to the hospital with a severe leg injury.
