New York-bound Plane Crashes in Residential Neighborhood in Maryland


COLLEGE PARK, MD – A pilot was killed when his small plane crashed into two Maryland homes while en route to Westchester, New York.

Firefighters found one man inside the Grumman American AA-5A just before 3:00 p.m., only three miles south of the College Park Airport. Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the crash, which happened in the New Carrollton neighborhood. FAA authorities say that the plane took off from the airport and was heading to the Westchester County Airport.
