Man Killed After Being Ejected From Car in Long Island

SMITHTOWN, NY – A 77-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle on the Sunken Meadow Parkway around 9 AM Monday morning.

According to authorities, the victim, John Rector, lost control of his vehicle, crashed into a tree, and was thrown from his car. He was killed upon impact.

The crash is still under investigation.
