Investigators Asking for Help Finding Hit-and-Run Driver in West New York

NEW YORK, NY – West New York police investigators are seeking information on a hit-and-run auto-pedestrian accident that occurred on Sunday, December 1st. Police responded to reports of a man unconscious on the ground at 4:00 p.m. at 66th Street and Boulevard East. At the scene, they found a 65-year-old New York man who had apparently been struck by a vehicle that had left the scene.

The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition.

According to the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the prosecutor’s office, it is believed that the man was crossing the street when he was hit. No arrests have yet been made, and authorities are urging anyone who has information about the collision to contact:
