Garbage Truck Crashes Into Home in Albertson


ALBERTSON, NY – A garbage truck was traveling along Bethel Road in Albertson when it hit another vehicle and a telephone pole on Tuesday morning. The truck then crashed into a nearby house, destroying some of the home’s foundation and severing a gas line.

The driver was able to jump out of the vehicle before it hit the house. The homeowner, the only one inside the house at the time of the accident, was able to be rescued from her home by emergency personnel. Both she and the driver of the garbage truck are being treated for minor injuries.
