Endicott Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Route 46 in Wayne

WAYNE, NJ – A New York man was killed in a pedestrian accident in on Route 46 in Wayne, just east of the Willowbrook Mall on Wednesday night. The victim, 60-year old John Baranski was struck by a Honda SUV at around 9:50 p.m., according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office. The victim was officially pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m.

The unidentified driver was a 66-year-old man who remained at the scene and has not been charged with a crime at this time. Police closed the entire highway and several ramps on I-80, Route 46, and Route 23 for a period of time as the scene was investigated and cleared.
