Drunk Driver Hits, Kills Pedestrian in East Harlem


HARLEM, NY – A pedestrian was killed while crossing E. 125th Street near Madison Avenue in Harlem around 5 PM on Tuesday. According to authorities, 23-year-old Farkell Hopkins was driving a Safelite repair truck while intoxicated when he hit the pedestrian. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hopkins remained at the scene and was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
