Driver Pulls Out Weapon, Shoots at Officers After Car Accident in Long Island


LONG ISLAND, NY – A Volvo driving down Middle Country Road hit a Nissan Pathfinder around 8:30 p.m. on Monday night. When authorities arrived at the scene, the driver of the Volvo jumped out of his vehicle and fled on foot. When police officers pursued him, he pulled out a gun and began firing at them. According to official sources, the police returned fire, but were not able to apprehend him at the scene.
