RICHMOND HILL, QUEENS, NY – Six people were injured in a car accident Monday night in Richmond Hill, Queens, according to NY1 News.
Police responded to the scene at the intersection of 101st Avenue and 121st Street after the incident took place at about 10:15 p.m.
According to the NYPD, a 27-year-old man was driving a Chrysler and struck several parked cars. He then hit the back of a Jeep Wrangler that was stopped at a red light at the intersection.
The Chrysler kept going into the intersection and collided with a Nissan Pathfinder that was heading west on 101st Avenue. The Chrysler flipped over before coming to a stop in the middle of the intersection.
The driver of the Chrysler was reported in critical condition after being transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The drivers and passengers in the Jeep and Nissan sustained minor injuries. The drivers stayed at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad.
