BREAKING NEWS - Pedestrian Struck and Killed While Crossing the Street in Brooklyn


BROOKLYN, NY – A fatal auto-pedestrian accident occurred this morning shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Pearl and Willoughby streets in Brooklyn. According to early reports, the victim, a 40-year old woman, was hit by a car driven by an 81-year-old man while she was crossing the street.

Authorities also say that after striking the pedestrian, the man’s vehicle plowed into scaffolding on a nearby sidewalk, and other pedestrians may have been hurt as well.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash. No news has yet been released about others involved and if anyone else was injured.
