Woman thrown from her boyfriend's car that crashes into home on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, NY- A woman was killed after being thrown from the hood of her boyfriend's car in Staten Island early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Dubois and Egbert Avenues around midnight. According. to authorities, 29-year-old Tierra Eddy and her boyfriend had been fighting when she decided to hop onto the hood of his car.
The boyfriend sped away, throwing her off the car. Eddy died of her injuries at a local hospital around 1 AM.
The driver lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the porch of a nearby home. The boyfriend has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, assault, and driving while intoxicated.
