Queens Hit And Run Driver Convicted of Manslaughter

(NEW YORK, January 2020) Alfaheed Odesanya, who was then 19, has been convicted of manslaughter for a fatal crash that occurred in May 2018. According to NY Daily News, Odesanya ran a red light in Jamaica, Queens at the intersection of Archer Ave and Guy R Brewer Blvd. This led his Mercedes to collide with another sedan. A passenger in the other car, Gabriella Deen, was killed as a result of the accident. Odesanya was sentenced on Tuesday and will serve two to six years in prison.
