Pedestrian critically injured by car on Sunrise Highway

COPIAGUE, NY- A 50-year-old pedestrian was critically injured in an accident on Sunday night.

The victim was crossing Sunrise Highway at Decker Street when he was hit by a 21-year-old driver in a Nissan Altima. The driver was not injured in the accident.

The victim was transported to the Good Samaritan Medical Hospital with critical injuries.
