One killed in wreck on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway

(NEW YORK, MARCH 2020) — A 35-year-old man was tragically killed in a car crash on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway around 8:15 PM on Monday night.
The man, Jesse McCalip, was attempting to merge into the far right lane when he was rear-ended by a passing Dodge Charger. His Hyundai then flipped over and slammed into a nearby concrete wall on the side of the freeway. The accident occurred near the freeway's Queens exit.
McCalip was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Charger remained on the scene and no charges have been filed.
