One Death Following Wrong Way Crash on Interstate 287

WHITE PLANS, NY- A serious 3-vehicle accident resulted in one death Thursday night. The crash happened on Interstate 287 around 8:30 p.m. The accident is being classified as a wrong way crash, but the specific cause of the crash has not been released.
According to the Times Herald Record, the victim's identity has not yet been released so that their family may be notified first. The crash occurred on Interstate 287 in the eastbound lanes near exit 9 (Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow) and caused significant traffic in White Plains and the surrounding area.
