November 18, 2019 | Finz & Finz, P.C.

An off-duty NYPD officer was killed in a crash at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday on the FDR Drive. Two passengers in the vehicle were ejected from the car and landed in the FDR’s southbound lanes. Both were severely injured and were immediately transported to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

According to authorities, the 25-year-old officer had worked for three years at the 76th Precinct. He was driving a Lexus along with a male and female passenger at the time of the crash. Reports say that he was speeding north on FDR when his car hit the center median.

After the crash, the driver was transported to the hospital with severe head trauma and was later pronounced dead. The latest reports say that the two passengers were in serious but stable condition at Bellevue. The male passenger suffered trauma to his torso and legs, and the female passenger’s right foot was severed, according to a report from NBC News 4 New York
