New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Helps Man Out of Vehicle After Crash on Brooklyn-queens Expressway

WHITE PLAINS, NY – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his staff stopped to assist a motorist after a collision on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on Monday afternoon. The governor and his team had just departed from an Association for a Better New York event and were in transit when they spotted the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the governor and his team got out of their vehicle and rushed to help the driver of a van that had crashed and landed on its side against the highway median. Governor Cuomo reportedly assisted the man by cutting his seatbelt and pulling him from the vehicle.

This is not the first time that Governor Cuomo has stopped to help motorists in need. In the past, he’s reportedly assisted stranded motorists who’ve been stuck in snow, and other minor roadside issues.
