New Jersey Police Officer Committed Suicide Following Car Crash

MATAWAN, NJ- Veteran police officer, Edward Nortrup, lost control of his vehicle on Sunday afternoon while off duty. He crashed into parked vehicles and his car partially flipped. The crash occured near the Matawan Municipal Community Center. According to Fox 5 NY, Nortrup shot himself while first responders were on the scene.
