Man struck and killed by car on the Long Island Roadway

RIDGE, NY- A man was struck and killed by a car on Route 25, east of William Floyd Parkway, around 12:30 AM on Tuesday morning.

34-year-old Michael Leithe was driving his Kia Sorento on the busy Long Island thoroughfare when he struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The man, 46-year-old James Kearns, was pronounced dead at the scene.
