Hempstead man killed in hit-and-run crash in Queens

(NEW YORK, December 2019) — A pedestrian was killed when walking across Rockaway Boulevard and 114th Street in Queens around 9:30 PM on Christmas night. According to authorities, 67-year-old Ainsley Dalrymple of Hempstead parked his car, exited his vehicle, and began to cross the street when a gray or silver Toyota truck struck him. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries. The driver of the truck did not remain on the scene.
