Fatal car accident reported on the Robert Moses Causeway

(LONG ISLAND, January 2020) — One person was killed in a car accident on the Robert Moses Causeway on Thursday. The crash occurred between Montauk Highway and Ocean Parkway. The roads were shut down for five hours after the accident, but have since re-opened.
The victim was airlifted from the scene and died of his injuries at the hospital. Two others were seriously injured and and taken to a hospital in West Islip. The conditions of the injured are not yet known.
