(LONG ISLAND, January 2020) — Brian Gregg was cleaning a gun on Thursday evening when he accidentally shot a 17-year-old family friend in their home. While driving to the hospital, their vehicle crashed into three other cars at the intersection of Old Country Road and Plainview Road.
Four individuals were hurt in the accident, including an off-duty Nassau County police officer. All injured were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive. The 17-year-old who was shot is in serious but stable condition.
Authorities determined Gregg was not a licensed handgun owner and charged him with unlawfully posessing a handgun.
