73-year-old man dies in collision with SUV in Woodmere

(NEW YORK, December 2019) — A 73-year-old man was hit and killed by an SUV on Tuesday, December 31st on Long Island. According to authorities, the victim was hit by a 2019 Infiniti SUV at the intersection of Peninsula Boulevard and Edward Avenue in Woodmere around 7 AM that morning. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The 36-year-old driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
