7-year-old boy hit and killed by car while walking to school in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY- A 7-year-old boy was tragically killed in a car accident in Brooklyn on Thursday morning.
According to The New York Post, the boy was walking to school with his mother when the car turned right onto Pennslyvania Avenue from Blake Avenue. The car then struck the pair, and the boy was critically injured. He was later rushed to Brookdale Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 48-year-old woman, remained at the scene. She was later arrested on unknown charges.
