76-year-old Killed on Scooter in Queens

QUEENS, NY- An SUV fatally struck an elderly woman while she crossed the street in her motorized scooter, NY Post reports. The victim, Carolyn Egger, was hit on 74th Street around 3:30 PM on Saturday. She was transferred to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst but could not be saved. The motorist is reported to have completed a full stop before turning and striking Eggers. They have not been identified and were not immediately charged.
